Welcome to the 2019 WBE Canada 10th Annual Conference & Gala!

We are absolutely thrilled to have you join us at this years’s conference and anniversary celebration. Here are a few helpful tips and reminders so you can make the most of your experience.


The WBE Concierge Team will be available during all regularly scheduled sessions at the Registration Table located in the lobby.


Be respectful of your fellow attendees and the scheduled speakers. Be present and in your seat at the start of each session to help ensure an on time start with no disruptions. Announcements in the foyer will alert you to program start times and help keep you on pace. Refer to this website and on our mobile app.


In order to maintain a secure environment, name badges are required to enter the conference meeting rooms. If at any time you misplace your badge, visit our Concierge Team located in the foyer and they will do their best to help you. Also, please be smart! Do not leave your valuables unattended.


We invite you to be fully present at this event, and we ask that you allow your fellow attendees the opportunity to do the same. Laptops, as well as iPads with keyboards, are not permitted in the breakout & panel sessions as they are disruptive to those around you.


WBE Canada Conference & Gala does allow and encourage photos. We also encourage you to be active on social media using the hashtag #wbeconference. However, audio/video recordings of any type are NOT permitted in any of the sessions. Those caught recording the sessions will be asked to leave without refund. This policy will be strictly enforced. If you choose to keep your phone on, please make sure it is silenced.


The dress code for the conference is business casual. Please also bring a sweater, wrap or jacket as conference rooms tend to be on the chillier side! Gala is a formal event. If you are staying after the conference without opportunity to change, wear your best attire during the entire day.


There will be time for questions throughout the event. In order to allow speakers to get through all of the planned content, and out of respect for your fellow attendees, please refrain from asking questions until the mics are opened for Q&A.


WiFi access code is not provided to the conference attendees. Please do not ask WBE Canada Team or Conference volunteers to provide this information. Thank you for understanding!


Please be courteous to your fellow attendees. Leaving stacks of business cards, postcards, flyers or other self-promotion materials around the event is strictly prohibited. Those doing so will be asked to leave the event without refund.


Please be sure to drink plenty of water, get a good night’s rest and eat healthy. Hydration stations will be available in the hallway for the entire duration of the event.


All Conference and Gala attendees are welcome to join us for the VIP Reception. Cash bar will be available during the reception.


All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. All items are “as is”. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. The amount you pay is not tax deductible. Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of the auction to the cashier. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, or a cheque made payable to WBE Canada. Following payments, you may pick up your purchases in the registration area. The purchaser must pick up all items the night of the auction, unless special arrangements are made. Any item left unclaimed will be sold and proceeds will go to WBE Canada. WBE Canada reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from WBE Canada, their elected and appointed officials, members, employees, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.


Gala has assigned seating. You will be provided your table number during registration.


All tables must be set up by 8:30am. If your table is not set before then, you might lose your spot. You can bring 3 team members to help you with your table. Click here for more information.


Trade Show opens at 9am sharp. There will be no breakfast provided. Coffee and light refreshments will be available during the event. Click here for more information.


All Matchmaker meetings are prearranged. You must register 10 minutes prior to your scheduled meeting to keep your spot. Otherwise your spot can be given to the next person on a waitlist.
