Social Procurement Coordinator, City of Toronto-Purchasing & Material Management Division
In her role as Social Procurement Coordinator at the City of Toronto, Alexandra Mutinelli-Djukic oversees the development and growth of the Social Procurement Program's supplier diversity component. Adopted by the City of Toronto in 2016, the Social Procurement Program was developed as an opportunity for the City to use its purchasing power to address poverty and inequality, focusing on equity-seeking groups that historically lack economic opportunities.
Alexandra has been advancing social procurement in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area since April 2014 where she was the Manager of the Social Purchasing Project (SPP) at United Way Toronto & York Region. Before her role at SPP, Alexandra spent eight years managing one of Toronto’s most successful social enterprises. She also brings over 15 years of business ownership and management experience. McGill University recently recognized her as a Supplier Diversity Change Agent.
