Matt Williams is the Head of Strategy & Integration for the Procurement team at BMO Financial Group. He started in this role in July 2018 and is responsible for the operations of Procurement, including strategy, priorities, productivity portfolios, Procurement governance, professional development, programs and initiatives, the Procurement Help Desk call, logical access, supplier diversity, merger and acquisition integrations and all aspects of change management.
As the leader of Strategy & Integration, Matt leads a global organization of over 25 professionals who support Procurement and empower stakeholders by creating tangible value, mitigating risk and delivering supplier innovation in BMO’s $5B supplier spend base. In this role, Matt drives the procurement strategy by working with business leaders across the bank to enhance sourcing and supply chain management capabilities enterprise-wide.
Prior to joining BMO, Matt was the Supplier Relationship Innovation Lead at Cushman & Wakefield where he led the S.R.I.M team and built Cushman & Wakefield’s Advantage program (a supplier buying platform), as well as developing the company’s Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Diversity programs. Matt has over 8 years of experience in sourcing and supply chain functions across different industries and has helped a number of organizations develop products, solutions and partnerships to drive value and growth, including roles with Newell Rubbermaid and HAVI Global Solutions.
Matt holds a B.S. with Honours in Management and a minor in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
